Julie's back! All photos from Julie Miller 11/9/2015
Turpentine Bush (
Ericameria laricifolia) in bloom on the Bluff Trail. Crushed leaves are said to smell like turpentine. Turpentine (the paint thinner, etc.) is distilled from certain pine trees, not from this plant.
Some bees were hard at work gathering pollen from the flowers.
Thanks, Julie! And welcome back!
