Range Ratany (Krameria erecta) is in bloom! The flowers are even smaller than they appear; the magenta-colored outer 'petals' are really sepals. The flower is that light green and magenta part in the middle. These plants are partial parasites; they photosynthesize (note the green stems and leaves), but they also steal nutrients from nearby plants via their roots.
